Getting Started
After an initial consultation with our helpful staff, an appointment will be scheduled with one of our psychiatrist for a full evaluation to determine if TMS is right for you. From here, the doctor you are working with will determine the optimal level of therapy for you. The following daily treatments last approximately 18 minutes and are performed in spa-like treatment rooms equipped with televisions for your enjoyment.
A course of treatment for depression typically consists of TMS sessions 5 days a week, Monday-Friday for 6 weeks. This is followed by 6 additional treatments over 3 weeks.
Unlike ECT and other therapies, those receiving TMS treatment are able to drive and go back to living their daily lives. There is no anesthesia or medication involved in the process. Unlike many drug treatments for depression, TMS has no impact on sexual performance.
Coverage
TMS is covered by most insurance providers, including Medicare, BlueCross BlueShield, and Independent Health. Our helpful staff will be able to check on your coverage before you begin treatment.
Financing
There are a variety of financing options available to those seeking TMS treatment. To get started, ask a member of our team and we will give you information on all of your options.
